›Is my text sent to a server?

No — diffing happens entirely in your browser.

›Can it diff very long text?

Yes — anything your browser can hold in memory. Multi-page documents work fine.

›Does it ignore whitespace?

By default we count whitespace differences. Toggle 'ignore whitespace' to focus on real changes.

›Word-level or line-level diff?

Currently line-level. For word-by-word diff inside a line, paste a single line on each side.

›Is the diff checker free?

Yes — fully free, no signup.
